You Can't Take It with You is a comedic play in three acts which originally opened at the Booth Theater on December 14, 1936, and played for 837 performances. The play won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.  In 1938 it was made into a film by Frank Capra (Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington) and starred Jean Arthur and James Stewart.
